RESEARCH TEAM

Many thanks to the lecturer of the Institute of Psychology of Vilnius University dr. Laurynas Rakickienė and Master's students of psychology Evelina Grigienė, Rasa Pocienė, and Aldona Wojczulis (Vaičiulytė) for very great and important help in conducting research and conducting psychological testing of children.

Roma Jusienė, Ph. D.

Professor of Psychology at Vilnius University, Faculty of Philosophy, Institute of Psychology; clinical psychologist and psychodynamic psychotherapist. Head of Counselling and Training Center at Vilnius University, Faculty of Philosophy.

 

Her main research interests are early development of self-regulation; developmental psychopathology; health psychology; and family psychology. She is a leader of the project.

Ilona Laurinaitytė, Ph. D.

Associate Professor of Psychology at Vilnius University and group psychotherapist. She teaches postgraduate courses in psychological assessment and counselling, undertakes research and supervises psychologists. Her particular research interests are centered on the understanding of nature, causes, and management of violence as well as on mental health-related issues in different settings. She is also collaborating with governmental and non-governmental organizations on the topics of treatment and programs for the social reintegration of offenders as well as the prevention of child sexual abuse.

 

As a researcher, she participated in several international and national research projects. Since 2013, she is a national representative at the Board of Ethics in the European Federation of Psychologists' Associations (EFPA), and visited Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore (USA). Senior researcher in the project.

Vaidotas Urbonas, M.D., Ph.D.

Associated Professor at Clinic of Children‘s Diseases, Institute of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Vilnius University; medical doctor, pediatrician, gastroenterologist.

 

He is the president of the Lithuanian Society of Pediatricians. Main research interests: children’s nutrition, obesity. He is a senior researcher in the project.

Rima Breidokienė, Ph.D.

Lecturer at Vilnius University, Faculty of Philosophy, Institute of Psychology; clinical psychologist and psychodynamic psychotherapist.

 

Main research interests: children’s and adolescents’ emotional and behavioural problems, and early development of self-regulation. She is a researcher in the project.

Lina Petronytė

Physician at Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Clinics, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology; an internship in neonatology and pediatrics at Vilnius University, Faculty of Medicine.

 

Main research interests: sleep problems, health in infancy and early childhood. She is a researcher in the project.

Edita Baukienė

Doctoral student at Vilnius University, Faculty of Philosophy, Institute of Psychology; educational psychologist.

 

Main research interests: developmental psychology and psychopathology, sleep problems in early childhood. She is a researcher in the project.

Rūta Praninskienė, M. D., Ph. D.

Head of Pediatric Neurology Department, Children‘s Hospital, an Affiliate of Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Clinics, medical doctor, child’s neurologist; lecturer at Vilnius University, Faculty of Medicine.

 

Main research interests: sleep disorders, children’s epilepsy, neurophysiological markers (EEG, actigraphy, polysomnography, etc.). She is a researcher in the project.
